The law of demand states that / मांग का नियम कहता है कि

(1) if the price of a good increases, the demand for that good decreases. / यदि किसी वस्तु की कीमत बढ़ती है, तो उस वस्तु की माँग घट जाती है।
(2) if the price of a good increases, the the demand for that good increases. / यदि किसी वस्तु की कीमत बढ़ जाती है, तो उस वस्तु की माँग बढ़ जाती है।
(3) if the price of a good increases, the quantity demanded of that good decreases. / यदि किसी वस्तु की कीमत बढ़ती है, तो उस वस्तु की माँग की मात्रा घट जाती है।

The law of demand states that, other things remaining the same, the quantity demanded of a commodity is inversely related to its price.
