The weighted codes are those that obey the position weighting principle, which states that the position of each number represent a specific weight. In weighted codes, each digit is assigned a specific weight according to its position. Non-weighted or un-weighted codes are those codes in which the digit value does not depend upon their position i.e., each digit position within the number is not assigned fixed value. Examples of non-weighted codes are: Un weighted BCD code, Excess-3 code and gray code. / भारित कोड वे होते हैं जो स्थिति भार सिद्धांत का पालन करते हैं, जिसमें कहा गया है कि प्रत्येक संख्या की स्थिति एक विशिष्ट भार का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है। भारित कोड में, प्रत्येक अंक को उसकी स्थिति के अनुसार एक विशिष्ट भार सौंपा जाता है। गैर-भारित या गैर-भारित कोड वे कोड होते हैं जिनमें अंकों का मान उनकी स्थिति पर निर्भर नहीं करता है यानी, संख्या के भीतर प्रत्येक अंक की स्थिति को निश्चित मान नहीं दिया जाता है। गैर-भारित कोड के उदाहरण हैं: बिना भारित बीसीडी कोड, अतिरिक्त -3 कोड और ग्रे कोड।
