Motions of no confidence against the government can only be introduced and passed in the Lok Sabha. If passed by a majority vote, the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers resigns collectively. The Rajya Sabha has no power over such a motion, and hence no real power over the executive. / सरकार के खिलाफ अविश्वास प्रस्ताव केवल लोकसभा में पेश और पारित किया जा सकता है। यदि बहुमत से पारित हो जाता है, तो प्रधान मंत्री और मंत्रिपरिषद सामूहिक रूप से इस्तीफा दे देते हैं। इस तरह के प्रस्ताव पर राज्य सभा का कोई अधिकार नहीं है, और इसलिए कार्यपालिका पर कोई वास्तविक शक्ति नहीं है।
