The Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI) is an attached Office of the Ministry of Agriculture. It was set up in the year 1935 to implement the agricultural marketing policies and programmes of the Central Government. It aims at bringing integrated development of marketing of agricultural and allied produce in the country. It is entrusted with promotion of standardisation and grading of agricultural and allied produce. / विपणन और निरीक्षण निदेशालय (डीएमआई) कृषि मंत्रालय का एक संबद्ध कार्यालय है। इसकी स्थापना वर्ष 1935 में केंद्र सरकार की कृषि विपणन नीतियों और कार्यक्रमों को लागू करने के लिए की गई थी। इसका उद्देश्य देश में कृषि और संबद्ध उत्पादों के विपणन का एकीकृत विकास करना है। इसे कृषि और संबद्ध उत्पादों के मानकीकरण और ग्रेडिंग को बढ़ावा देने का काम सौंपा गया है।
