Explanation / व्याख्यात्मक विवरण :- 

Article 84 of the Constitution lays down the qualifications for membership of Parliament. A person to be qualified for the membership of the Rajya Sabha should be a citizen of India and make and subscribe before some person authorized in that behalf by the Election Commission an oath or affirmation according to the form set out for the purpose in the Third Schedule to the Constitution; and he must be not less than 30 years of age. / संविधान का अनुच्छेद 84 संसद की सदस्यता के लिए योग्यता निर्धारित करता है। राज्य सभा की सदस्यता के लिए योग्य व्यक्ति को भारत का नागरिक होना चाहिए और तीसरी अनुसूची में इस प्रयोजन के लिए निर्धारित प्रपत्र के अनुसार चुनाव आयोग द्वारा अधिकृत किसी व्यक्ति के समक्ष शपथ या प्रतिज्ञान करना और सदस्यता लेना चाहिए। संविधान के लिए; और उसकी आयु 30 वर्ष से कम नहीं होनी चाहिए।
