Explanation / व्याख्या :-

According to Article 71 of the Constitution, all doubts and disputes arising out of or in connection with the election of a President or Vice-President shall be inquired into and decided by the Supreme Court. If the election is declared void by the Supreme Court, acts done by him in the exercise and performance of the powers and duties of the office, on or before the date of the decision of the Supreme Court shall not be invalidated by reason of that declaration. / संविधान के अनुच्छेद 71 के अनुसार, राष्ट्रपति या उपराष्ट्रपति के चुनाव के संबंध में या उसके संबंध में उत्पन्न होने वाले सभी संदेहों और विवादों की जांच और निर्णय सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा किया जाएगा। यदि चुनाव को सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा शून्य घोषित किया जाता है, सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के निर्णय की तारीख को या उससे पहले कार्यालय की शक्तियों और कर्तव्यों के प्रयोग और प्रदर्शन में उसके द्वारा किए गए कार्य उस घोषणा के कारण अमान्य नहीं होंगे।
