 Surkotada site contains horse remains dated to 2000 BC, which is considered a significant observation with respect to Indus Valley Civilisation. During 1974, Archaeological Survey of India undertook excavation at this site and J.P. Joshi and A.K. Sharma reported findings of horse bones at all levels. / सुरकोटडा साइट में 2000 ईसा पूर्व के घोड़े के अवशेष हैं, जिसे सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता के संबंध में एक महत्वपूर्ण अवलोकन माना जाता है। 1974 के दौरान, भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण ने इस स्थल पर खुदाई की और जे.पी. जोशी और ए.के. शर्मा ने सभी स्तरों पर घोड़े की हड्डियों के निष्कर्षों की सूचना दी।
