Mixed economy is an economic system in which both the state and private sector direct the economy, reflecting characteristics of both market economies and planned economies. The basic idea of the mixed economy is that the means of production are mainly under private ownership; that markets remain the dominant form of economic coordination; and that profit-seeking enterprises and the accumulation of capital remain the fundamental driving force behind economic activity. / मिश्रित अर्थव्यवस्था एक आर्थिक प्रणाली है जिसमें राज्य और निजी क्षेत्र दोनों ही अर्थव्यवस्था को निर्देशित करते हैं, बाजार अर्थव्यवस्थाओं और नियोजित अर्थव्यवस्थाओं दोनों की विशेषताओं को दर्शाते हैं। मिश्रित अर्थव्यवस्था का मूल विचार यह है कि उत्पादन के साधन मुख्य रूप से निजी स्वामित्व में हैं; कि बाजार आर्थिक समन्वय का प्रमुख रूप बना हुआ है; और यह कि लाभ चाहने वाले उद्यम और पूंजी का संचय आर्थिक गतिविधियों के पीछे मौलिक प्रेरक शक्ति बना हुआ है।
