Akbar spent his childhood in the rough terrain of Afghanistan. His early years were spent learning how to hunt, fight and mature into a skillful warrior. He did not find time to read and write and was illiterate. But his illiteracy did not hamper his quest for knowledge and desire to know about new things. Akbar had a huge library and a vast collection of books and scriptures. His courtiers read out the books for him. / अकबर ने अपना बचपन अफगानिस्तान के उबड़-खाबड़ इलाकों में बिताया। उनके प्रारंभिक वर्ष एक कुशल योद्धा के रूप में शिकार करना, लड़ना और परिपक्व होना सीखने में व्यतीत हुए। उसे पढ़ने-लिखने का समय नहीं मिलता था और वह अनपढ़ था। लेकिन उनकी निरक्षरता ने उनके ज्ञान की खोज और नई चीजों के बारे में जानने की इच्छा को बाधित नहीं किया। अकबर के पास एक विशाल पुस्तकालय और पुस्तकों और शास्त्रों का विशाल संग्रह था। उनके दरबारियों ने उनके लिए पुस्तकें पढ़ीं।
