एनर्जी एफिशिएंसी (ऊर्जा दक्षता) को बढ़ाने और इलेक्ट्रिक मोबिलिटी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए केंद्रीय ऊर्जा मंत्री आर के सिंह ने दिल्ली के चेल्म्सफोर्ड क्लब में भारत के पहले सार्वजनिक ईवी (इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन) चार्जिंग प्लाजा का उद्घाटन किया। पांच चार्जिंग पॉइंट्स के साथ प्लाजा में ऐसी और अधिक सुविधाएं शुरू करने की उम्मीद है। ये शुरुआत ईवी इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर को सपोर्ट करने के लिए एक प्रयास है, जिसकी देश में इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल्स को तुरंत जरूरत है।

सोमवार को चार्जिंग प्लाजा के उद्घाटन के मौके पर सिंह ने कहा "भारत में ई-मोबिलिटी को सर्वव्यापी और सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए ईवी चार्जिंग प्लाजा एक नई पहल है। इस तरह की अभिनव पहल देश में एक मजबूत ई-मोबिलिटी पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र बनाने के लिए जरूरी है। इसके लिए मैं ईईएसएल और एनडीएमसी दोनों को बधाई देता हूं।"

उद्घाटन किए गए EV चार्जिंग प्लाजा की स्थापना Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), एनर्जी एफिशिएंसी सर्विसेज लिमिटेड ने नई दिल्ली म्यूनिसिपल काउंसिल (NDMC) के सहयोग से की गई थी। ईईएसएल का दावा है कि वह भारत में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों की मांग का पता लगाने और ऐसे वाहनों के लिए सार्वजनिक चार्जिंग स्टेशन (पीसीएस) संचालित करने के नए व्यापार मॉडल की पहचान करने के काम की अगुवाई कर रही है। एनडीएमसी के सहयोग से ईईएसएल ने मध्य दिल्ली में भारत का पहला सार्वजनिक इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन चार्जिंग प्लाजा स्थापित किया है। इसमें पांच विभिन्न स्पेसिफिकेशन्स वाले इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन चार्जर लगाए गए हैं। / To increase energy efficiency and promote electric mobility, Union Energy Minister RK Singh inaugurated India's first public EV (Electric Vehicle) charging plaza at Chelmsford Club, Delhi. With five charging points, the plaza is expected to introduce more such facilities. This launch is an effort to support the EV infrastructure, which is urgently needed by electric vehicles in the country.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Charging Plaza on Monday, Singh said, “EV Charging Plaza is a new initiative to make e-mobility ubiquitous and convenient in India. Such innovative initiatives are aimed at creating a strong e-mobility ecosystem in the country. It is necessary. I congratulate both EESL and NDMC for this."

The inaugurated EV Charging Plaza was set up by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), Energy Efficiency Services Limited in collaboration with New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). EESL claims that it is spearheading the work of locating the demand for electric vehicles in India and identifying new business models to operate public charging stations (PCS) for such vehicles. EESL in collaboration with NDMC has set up India's first Public Electric Vehicle Charging Plaza in Central Delhi. There are five electric vehicle chargers with different specifications.
