If their value is added again, it will lead to double counting. /मध्यवर्ती सामान उन वस्तुओं को संदर्भित करता है जिनका उपयोग या तो पुनर्विक्रय के लिए या एक ही वर्ष में आगे के उत्पादन के लिए किया जाता है। राष्ट्रीय आय में केवल अंतिम वस्तुओं को ही सम्मिलित किया जाता है। मध्यवर्ती वस्तुओं को राष्ट्रीय आय में शामिल नहीं किया जाता है क्योंकि वे पहले से ही अंतिम वस्तुओं में शामिल हैं। यदि उनका मूल्य फिर से जोड़ा जाता है, तो इससे दोहरी गिनती होगी।
