Evidence of ploughed field has been found in Kalibanga which is the oldest in the world. Indus Valley Civilization was an urban civilization. Out of the sites obtained from the Indus Valley Civilization, only six sites have been named as big cities. These cities are Mohenjodaro, Harappa, Ganeriwala, Dholavira, Rakhigarhi, and Kalibangan.

कालीबंगा में जुते हुए खेत का साक्ष्य मिला है जो विश्व का सबसे पुराना साक्ष्य है। सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता एक शहरी सभ्यता थी। सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता से प्राप्त स्थलों में से केवल छह स्थलों को बड़े शहरों का नाम दिया गया है। ये शहर हैं मोहनजोदड़ो, हड़प्पा, गनेरीवाला, धोलावीरा, राखीगढ़ी और कालीबंगन।
