Vedic Civilization in India was developed on the banks of river Saraswati. In the Rigveda, the river Saraswati was considered to be the most sacred river. It is called Nadetama (mother of rivers). Saraswati river now in Rajasthan has disappeared into the desert.

भारत में वैदिक सभ्यता का विकास सरस्वती नदी के तट पर हुआ था। ऋग्वेद में सरस्वती नदी को सबसे पवित्र नदी माना गया है। इसे नादेतमा (नदियों की माता) कहा जाता है। राजस्थान में अब सरस्वती नदी रेगिस्तान में लुप्त हो गई है।
