Explanation / व्याख्या :-

Varahmihira was born in Kapith Village near Ujjain in a Brahmin family. Aryabhatta was the teacher of Varahmihira. Varahmihira wrote several books like Brihat Samhita, Panchsiddhantika. Varahmihir was one of the nine jewels (Navratas) of Gupta king Chandragupta II Vikramaditya.

Note: Kumarsambhavam, Abhigyan Shakuntalam are literary works of Kalidasa.

वराहमिहिर का जन्म उज्जैन के निकट कपिथ ग्राम में एक ब्राह्मण परिवार में हुआ था। आर्यभट्ट वराहमिहिर के गुरु थे। वराहमिहिर ने बृहत् संहिता, पंचसिद्धांतिका जैसी कई पुस्तकें लिखीं। वराहमिहिर गुप्त राजा चंद्रगुप्त द्वितीय विक्रमादित्य के नौ रत्नों (नवरातों) में से एक थे।
