Harappan city was excavated by Daya Ram Sahni in 1921. It is located on the bank of river Ravi in
Montgomery district of Punjab (Pakistan). It is the first site discovered at Indust Valley Civilization. The major findings of the Harappan city were sandstone statues of human anatomy, granaries and bullock carts, great bath, granary, bronze dancing girl, seal of pashupati, Steatite statue of beard man, a piece of woven cotton. / हड़प्पा शहर की खुदाई 1921 में दया राम साहनी ने की थी। यह पंजाब (पाकिस्तान) के मोंटगोमरी जिले में रावी नदी के तट पर स्थित है। यह सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता में खोजा गया पहला स्थल है। हड़प्पा शहर की प्रमुख खोजों में मानव शरीर रचना की बलुआ पत्थर की मूर्तियाँ, अन्न भंडार और बैलगाड़ियाँ, महान स्नानघर, अन्न भंडार, कांस्य नृत्य करती लड़की, पशुपति की मुहर, दाढ़ी वाले आदमी की स्टीटाइट मूर्ति, बुने हुए कपास का एक टुकड़ा था।
