Bardoli Peasant Satyagraha was led by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in 1928. Bardoli Satyagraha was launched against government's order of increasing 22% tax. Under the leadership of Patel the Bardoli Peasants decided to refuse payment of taxes. After the success of this movement Gandhi ji gave the 'Sardar' title to Vallabhabhai Patel on the behalf of Bardoli Women.
1928 में बारडोली किसान सत्याग्रह का नेतृत्व सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल ने किया था। बारडोली सत्याग्रह सरकार के 22% कर बढ़ाने के आदेश के खिलाफ शुरू किया गया था। पटेल के नेतृत्व में बारडोली के किसानों ने करों का भुगतान करने से इनकार करने का फैसला किया। इस आंदोलन की सफलता के बाद गांधी जी ने बारडोली महिलाओं की ओर से वल्लभभाई पटेल को 'सरदार' की उपाधि दी।
