Explanation / व्याख्या :-

Permanent Settlement was introduced in 1793 by Lord Cornwallis and covered Bengal, Bihar, Odisha Parts of Northern Karnataka etc. This was basically an agreement between company and zamindars to fix the land revenue. It was also known as Zamindari system as Zamindars were recognized as the owners of the land.

स्थायी बंदोबस्त 1793 में लॉर्ड कॉर्नवालिस द्वारा शुरू किया गया था और इसमें बंगाल, बिहार, ओडिशा उत्तरी कर्नाटक के कुछ हिस्से आदि शामिल थे। यह मूल रूप से कंपनी और ज़मींदारों के बीच भूमि राजस्व तय करने के लिए एक समझौता था। इसे ज़मींदारी प्रणाली के रूप में भी जाना जाता था क्योंकि ज़मींदारों को भूमि के मालिक के रूप में मान्यता दी गई थी।
