The Battle of Chinhat was fought on 30th June 1857 between forces of Maulvi Ahmadullah Shah and British forces under the leadership of Henry Lawrence at Chinhat near Lucknow. Britishers were badly defeated in this war. Hailing from a noble warrior family of Awadh in Faizabad, Maulavi Ahmadullah Shah was known as the 'Lighthouse of Rebellion.'
चिनहट की लड़ाई 30 जून 1857 को लखनऊ के पास चिनहट में मौलवी अहमदुल्ला शाह की सेनाओं और हेनरी लॉरेंस के नेतृत्व में ब्रिटिश सेनाओं के बीच लड़ी गई थी। इस युद्ध में अंग्रेजों की बुरी हार हुई थी। फैजाबाद में अवध के एक कुलीन योद्धा परिवार से आने वाले मौलवी अहमदुल्ला शाह को 'विद्रोह के प्रकाश स्तंभ' के रूप में जाना जाता था।
