Explanation / व्याख्या :-
Alexander Reed and Thomas Munro Started the Raiyatwar/Ryotwari system in India. After the Permanent Settlement Act the British adopted a new system of land Revenue known as the Ryotwari System. Under this system the peasant were made the permanent owners of the land. Under this 1/4th of total production was collected as land revenue.
अलेक्जेंडर रीड और थॉमस मुनरो ने भारत में रैयतवार/रैयतवारी प्रणाली की शुरुआत की। स्थायी बंदोबस्त अधिनियम के बाद अंग्रेजों ने भूमि राजस्व की एक नई प्रणाली अपनाई जिसे रैयतवारी प्रणाली के रूप में जाना जाता है। इस प्रणाली के तहत किसानों को भूमि का स्थायी मालिक बनाया गया था। इसके तहत कुल उत्पादन का 1/4 हिस्सा भू-राजस्व के रूप में एकत्र किया जाता था।
