Explanation / व्याख्या :-

The Indian Age of Consent Act was legislated on 19th March 1891 during the colonial rule. It raised the age of consent for girls from 10 years to 12 years. This reformation was brought during Viceroyship Lord Lansdowne (1888-1894).

भारतीय सहमति आयु अधिनियम 19 मार्च 1891 को औपनिवेशिक शासन के दौरान कानून बनाया गया था। इसने लड़कियों के लिए सहमति की आयु 10 वर्ष से बढ़ाकर 12 वर्ष कर दी। यह सुधार वायसरायशिप लॉर्ड लैंसडाउन (1888-1894) के दौरान लाया गया था।
