Explanation / व्याख्या :-
When two independent authorities work simultaneously is called Diarchy system The system of dual government was introduced in Bengal by Robert Clive of British East India Company. It lasted from 1765 to 1772. The system was abolished by Warren Hastings in 1772 and Bengal was brought under direct control of the British and the Nawabs remained the pensioner of company.
जब दो स्वतंत्र प्राधिकरण एक साथ काम करते हैं तो उसे द्वैध शासन प्रणाली कहते हैं। बंगाल में द्वैध शासन प्रणाली की शुरुआत ब्रिटिश ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी के रॉबर्ट क्लाइव ने की थी। यह 1765 से 1772 तक चली। 1772 में वारेन हेस्टिंग्स ने इस प्रणाली को समाप्त कर दिया और बंगाल को अंग्रेजों के सीधे नियंत्रण में ला दिया गया और नवाब कंपनी के पेंशनभोगी बने रहे।
