Who died in 1st world war due to being a part of British army. It is also known as "All India War Memorial".
एडविन लुटियंस द्वारा डिज़ाइन किया गया, 42 मीटर ऊँचा इंडिया गेट फ्रांसीसी युद्ध स्मारक आर्क-डी-ट्रायम्फ के समान है। यह फ्रांसीसी युद्ध स्मारक का एक प्रतिरूप है, जिसमें 7000 भारतीय सैनिकों के नाम हैं। जो ब्रिटिश सेना का हिस्सा होने के कारण प्रथम विश्व युद्ध में मारे गए थे। इसे "अखिल भारतीय युद्ध स्मारक" के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।
